My suggestion adds more control to the user for the verbosity levels
lower than 5 without breaking the current standard configurations. Of
course that reduces the room for future expansions.

As said above the room for expansion between the levels 0 to 5 is to
small for further expansions, so we can break the current standard
configurations now or wait for the time in the future when a new lower
verbosity level is needed.

I'm open to other suggestions which doesn't break current configurations
at all while providing the new features and the additional control in
the lower levels.

New versions break existing configurations from time to time.

With regard to the init mode I can add an additional config option
'detailed_init_report=yes|no' (with default to no) so that the added
file list or the details are only reported on explicit request.
