have daily/weekly/monthly scripts that run and send e-mails to you however,
so you can just add your "aide --check" to that. That's what I do, and I get
daily updates from AIDE on any changes in my systems.

If your ISP blocks ports 25, try installing Postfix and configure it to use
your ISP's smtp server. There are only 1 or 2 lines you'll have to change in
the default postfix config to make this work, e-mail me off-list if you want
details.
