I wouldn't know either. Aide is a Unix tool, and someone was kind enough
to send in a patch to make it run under cygwin. NTFS should have a
similar concept like inodes. I know it also supports hard links, so the
chances are good that under cygwin these attributes are mapped to their
NTFS equivalent.
