While applying the Debian patches to aide, I found some typos like
"non-existant" and "message diggest", which should be fixed before
release.

Besides the sudden dependency on the dynamic mhash, it looks like the
binary has been completely dynamically linked:
$ ldd /usr/bin/aide.real
        linux-gate.so.1 =>  (0xffffe000)
        libgcrypt.so.11 => /usr/lib/libgcrypt.so.11 (0xb7f98000)
        libmhash.so.2 => /usr/lib/libmhash.so.2 (0xb7f67000)
        libcrypt.so.1 => /lib/tls/libcrypt.so.1 (0xb7f39000)
        libz.so.1 => /usr/lib/libz.so.1 (0xb7f25000)
        libc.so.6 => /lib/tls/libc.so.6 (0xb7ded000)
        libgpg-error.so.0 => /usr/lib/libgpg-error.so.0 (0xb7de8000)
        libnsl.so.1 => /lib/tls/libnsl.so.1 (0xb7dd2000)
        /lib/ld-linux.so.2 (0xb7fea000)

I gather that this is a systematic flaw in rc1 and will be fixed for
rc2?

So far my first experiences with 0.11-rc1.

Greetings
Marc
