Fresh CVS checkout as of last Friday. Compiled on a stock i386 RHEL3
(Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3) machine with all of the latest patches
applied. RHEL3 only has automake v1.6.3-5 and autoconf v2.57-3, even
though autogen.sh requests v1.7. The result is the same whether I adjust
autogen.sh to accept autoconf v1.6.3-5 and automake v2.57-3 or update to
automake v1.9.2-3 and automake v2.59-5.
